 Quotes on Writing

Ok, these are just some of my fave quotes. They're about writing ^^.

"Don't use words too big for the subject. Don't say 'infinitely' when you mean 'very'; otherwise you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite." (C.S. Lewis)

"Say all you have to say in the fewest possible words, or your reader will be sure to skip them; and in the plainest possible words or he will certainly misunderstand them." (John Ruskin)

"Inspiration is wonderful when it happens, but the writer must develop an approach for the rest of the time... The wait is simply too long. (Leonard Bernstein)

"You have to know how to accept rejection and reject acceptance." (Ray Bradbury)

"Detail makes the difference between boring and terrific writing. It's the difference between a pencil sketch and a lush oil painting. As a writer, words are your paint. Use all the colors." (Rhys Alexander)

"A writer is a person for whom writing is more difficult than it is for other people." (Thomas Mann)

"Many books require no thought from those who read them, and for a very simple reason; they made no such demand upon those who wrote them." (Charles Caleb Colton)

"I have made this {letter} longer, because I have not had the time to make it shorter." (Blaise Pascal)

I know many more quotes, but these are just some of my fave XD!

"I woke up today and wished for tomorrow. I don't want to be like anyone else. I woke up today and wished for tomorrow. I don't want to even be myself."
